Rick's Odds & Ends

This was once a personal website that also functioned as a CV, but that is no longer relevant since I am now retired (but I am still available for quality translation work: see the About page).

This website now presents a potpourri of themes sprouting from my own personal interests or obsessions, but likely to interest others out there who are on a similar wavelength.

It will also present my own distillation of many course notes in physics, maths, and other subjects. I do this because it is a fine medium for organizing such material and may be of help to others. That said, I do not consider myself qualified enough to actually teach these subjects. These are personal course notes and will contain many mistakes which I hope visitors will point out in the guestbook. In this way, I hope to use this site as a vehicle for improving the material for the benefit of myself and others.
